Winter In Bansko
Bansko ski center has been preparing seriously for a successful winter season 2007/8, independent from weather conditions due to the new artificial snow cannons working at temperatures over 0 centigrade degrees.
17 tracks with various difficulties (two of them having excellent level) will satisfy event the highest requirement. The access to the tracks will be provided by 26 ski lifts (including 10 baby lifts).
A modern cabin lift (gondola) with eight seats will transport skiers from the town to Banderishka meadow. The lift has capacity of 2,400 persons per hour.The ski zone has also:
five 4-seat (Doppelmayr) lifts – brand new; - one 3-seats (Poma) lift,
- six ski rope-lines
- ten children’s ski rope-lines with overall length of 26 km.
Ski Tracks
The highest point of the ski center is at 2,560 m above sea level and the lowest point is 1000 m above sea level.
The total length of ski tracks and roads for the new ski season is 75 km.
The distribution is as follows:
- beginners – 35%
- intermediate – 40%
- advanced – 25%
In the are of the plateau experienced skiers and snowboarders will be able to enjoy a Fun Park Zone with special bumps and jumps; near the upper station of the cabin ski lift you can see the Half Pipe Facility which will make the day of snowboarders exceptionally complete.

Night ski track and paraglides will complete the selection of winter sports.

The resort has been frequent host of international competitions related to the European Alpine Ski Cup and the Biathlon Cup.
The available ski and snowboard instructors are very professional.
Kindergarten for the youngest skiers is available at Banderishka meadow.
In Bansko we already have the second functioning ice-skating rink, several bowling halls which will make your stay even more pleasant.
Summer In Bansko
During the recent years Bansko has been established not only as the most advanced ski resort but also as a summer tourist center.

* Horse riding - near Bansko, in the Rila Mountain there is the horse breeding facility Peri Vollas. Trained horse riders offer there horse-riding lessons, horse of donkey rides and specialized therapeutic rides program.
* Bicycle routes - Bansko offers wonderful opportunities for mounting biking. Whether you are looking for relaxing routes to escape from everyday work or you want fast, full-of-adrenaline rides down a hill, Bansko will bring satisfaction by its great variety of terrains for mountain biking.
* Rafting - this is for the fans of excitement; Bansko offers two rafting opportunities along the rivers Struma and Mesta around Pirin Mountain National Park
* Buggies (special vehicles) - in Bansko the newest attraction for tourists and residents is the rides with special vehicles or the so called “buggies”; these rides use dirt roads and forest paths around the town.
* Off-Road Safari - we offer to the off-road fans unforgettable adventure using the dirt roads in the foot of Pirin Mountain or Rila Mountain.
* Paintball - a special paintball playground was built in Bansko for the organizers of tournaments and for individual games. You can play in the forest or in area you specify.
* Fishing - opportunity for river fishing and near Pirin lakes. The places are exceptionally beautiful and provide opportunities for satisfying relaxation.
* Tennis - several tennis courts in Bansko expect their fans.
* Mineral spring water pool - the external swimming pool opened in 2006 is the ideal place for your sunbaths (town of Dobrinishte, 6 km away from Bansko).
* Mountain picnic - picnic in the mountain with special roasted food is a perfect addition to the summer adventure in Bansko.
* There are 3 golf areas in Bansko which are being developed at the moment. One of these (Pirin Golf) is expected to be finished in 2008.
